For our Alumni

"PANIM taught me how interconnected Judaism and politics are. You cannot be a Jew without trying to heal the problems of our world. You cannot be politically active without struggling with Jewish values."

New this year: choose from two dates and locations!
Registration is now open for each Institute! Please click on a date for more information.

Join educators from around the country in a week-long training designed to prepare you to create and teach Jewish service-learning programs in your community.

Best Practices
• What works in formal education? informal education? family education?
• How can institutions best reach out to teens? children? adults?
• What are the elements of the most successful service-learning programs in the country?

Jewish Text Study
• Learn the top 10 texts that every Jewish service-learning professional should have at his/her fingertips
• Discover how to make Jewish values come alive through service.
• Explore how Judaism can inspire deep engagement with social problems around the world.

Qualifications: Are you interested in the fields of Jewish education (both formal and informal) and service? If so, the National Educators Institute is the program for you. You need not have past experience with Jewish service-learning, but you do need to have a demonstrated commitment to the Jewish community. A background in service is a plus, but not a requirement. An undergraduate degree is required for participation.
