Explore Washington, DC
CEU's: There will be approximately 30 hours of instruction over the five days. Participants may receive 3 Continuing Education Units from the University of Maryland.
Tuition: The 2009 tuition has been held at the 2008 rate of $835. Tuition includes housing and the majority of meals.
Location: Classes and workshops will take place at UMD's Meyerhoff Center for Jewish Studies. Participants will also benefit from the resources of the Washington, DC, area by meeting with local experts, educators, and officials.

Qualifications: If you are interested in Jewish service-learning, the National Educators’ Institute is the program for you. You need not have past experience with Jewish service-learning, but you must have a demonstrated commitment to the Jewish community. A background in service is a plus, but not a requirement. Past participants have come from the range of Jewish educational settings and experience levels, including principals, classroom teachers, supplemental and Day school educators, educational agency representatives, and more! An undergraduate degree is required for participation.
