The Center for Jewish Youth Leadership seeks to strengthen Jewish identity through exposure to those enduring Jewish values that promote acts of social responsibility and political activism. Alumni of the Center’s programs emerge with a greater sense of their obligation to apply such values not only to their fellow Jews but also to the wider world. The Center provides programs for high school and college audiences that focus on leadership skills, empowerment and social justice programming across denominational lines.
The core program of the Center for Jewish Youth Leadership is Panim el Panim, which is widely viewed as the premiere Jewish identity program integrating Jewish learning and tikkun olam. In addition, the Center works in cooperation with youth movements, camps, Orthodox and community day schools, Hebrew high schools, and other year-round teen programs, providing expertise and programs that apply Jewish learning and values to contemporary social and political issues. In addition to Panim el Panim, this Center offers a variety of customized educational programs for Jewish teens, including seminars focused on Israel advocacy.
